Mission Statement

Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here!

We believe in a loving, liberating and life-giving God who extends welcome and dignity to all and asks us to tend to the wholeness of the Earth and all people. Jesus is our companion and guide, showing the way toward abundant love.

At St. Augustine’s in-the-Woods we cherish faith, family, community, and shared worship.

Justice and Peace and our mission

Who We Are

At St. Augustine’s, our shared worship is at the center of our community life. Our services follow many of the worship traditions and seasons of the liturgical year. For newcomers, some elements of our worship might seem confusing. The most important thing to remember is that ALL are welcome here and you can’t do anything wrong! We encourage earnest questioning and are just happy you are here!

St. Augustine’s in-the-Woods is delighted to welcome our new Priest in Charge. The Rev. William B. Stanton began his ministry with us on Palm Sunday!

Upcoming Events

  • Whidbey Island Music Festival

    Friends and Neighbors

    Sunday, July 19 3pm at St. Augustine’s in-the-Woods

"Friends and Neighbors" celebrates the power of artistic proximity. It highlights how mentorship, shared space, and friendship create the conditions for new perspectives and great creative work to emerge. By featuring the works of the under-recognized Marianna von Martines alongside her more famous neighbors, we celebrate the full breadth of the Viennese spirit.

This afternoon of chamber music promises Viennese elegance, storytelling, and a deep sense of connection.

  • Vestry Dates

The next regular meeting of the Vestry is Tuesday, July 21st, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. in Campbell Hall.

    Visitors are always welcome.

  • Bishop LaBelle's Visit

Join us on Sunday, August 2nd as we worship with The Right Reverend Phillip LaBelle, our Bishop of the Diocese of Olympia.

One joint service at 9:30am followed by Coffee Hour with Bishop LaBelle.

  • St. A's Annual Community Picnic

    Sunday, August 30th
